High and Low Competitive Night
This league will be on Thursday nights and loosely based on a 4-3 or 5-2 (men-women) ratio,, where offence calls the line.

To deliver more opportunities to play competitive ultimate in Kelowna, KUPS has created High and Low Competitive Night by opening up Thursday nights to promote more competitive caliber teams and players to join.

Thursday's league will be known as Low and High Competitive Night, and will exist as a segregated league with a 4 team Division A (upper division - similar to Tier 1), and a 4 team Division B (lower division - similar to Tier 2). Teams will present their rosters to League Coordinators prior to the season and each team will be ranked by a KUPS group prior to start of the season to ensure that they are located in the right division at season start. Teams will then play within their divisions for 3 week periods, following which a reordering of the teams based on division standings. One team will move up into Division A and will play within Division A during the next 3 week period, and one team will move down into Division B and will play in that division for the next 3 week period. Nine weeks (or 3x 3 week periods) of regular season play will occur, at the end of which separate Division A and Division B playoffs will be played and winners of both division crowned champions.

Players who have played in Tier 2 or just want to play competitively on another night are encouraged to find a team or create a team and join Thursday Night.

NOTE: If KUPS personnel agree that all teams are equally talented at the beginning of the season, then no reordering will occur and teams will play out a regular round robin season.
