The spring has sprung and Sunflicker is THIS weekend (May 3 - 5). We are still in need of volunteers for the tournament.

We are looking for a tournament director for SunFlicker 2013. Fields and party location are already booked. We need YOU to coordinate teams and food and scheduling. It's a fun job! Bid form will be attached shortly. Interested parties are encouraged to contact the board as soon as possible. Bids must be given to the board by February 6th.

KUPS is looking for an individual (or group/team) to take on the unenviable task of organising and running our annual Sunflicker tournament.

Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Field preparation, scheduling, registration, organising the party/food/accommodation/shuttle service, and contacting teams.

In the past, teams and individuals have used this as a fund-raising venture, with trips to Flowerbowl, Regional tournaments, National Tournaments, and even the World Ultimate Club Championships.

This is not limited to those tourneys, though. You have a team that wants to be the most outrageous at the Revelstoke tournament? Wearing gold lame bodysuits and serving other teams Goldschlager? This can help fund your dream. You want to send a team to Potlatch and construct your own portable wrestling ring to bring with you? We can help pay for that! In fact, if you just want to outfit your local Ultimate team with matching shirts and shorts, and pay for your year of Ultimate, that can be achieved through this fund-raising too.

Finally, if an individual with no certain plans for fund-raising is interested in running this tournament, we have in the past given out a sizable honorarium to said individual. Not that you lot need financial incentive to get you to help us out.

Keep in mind, however, that this can be quite the workload. We have been lucky to have some exemplary tournament directors running the tourney over it's lifespan, and we look to you (and yours) to continue that tradition.
